Job Description:

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

 

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on jigs, fixtures, SPM, machined parts, and material handling equipment. 

          

Duties & responsibilities:

Design & Development:

  • Design jigs, fixtures, special purpose machines (SPM), machined components, and material handling devices according to client specifications.
  • Develop pneumatic and hydraulic systems to enhance equipment functionality and optimize process efficiency.
  • Create 2D and 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.

Project Execution:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and procurement, to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet required standards.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to project schedules, deadlines, and budget constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in mechanical design.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly process, resolving any design-related issues that may arise.
  • Participate in design reviews, feasibility studies, and failure mode analyses to optimize product design and performance.
  • Conduct testing and validation of designs to ensure functional and safety requirements are met.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for design improvements, cost reductions, and process optimizations.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to implement best practices.
  • Regularly update design files, specifications, and documentation to ensure accuracy and traceability.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare technical documentation, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and user manuals as required.
  • Maintain design records, project documentation, and specifications for future reference and audits.
  • Provide regular project updates to management, reporting on design status, challenges, and solutions.
