QC Manager (Forging and Piping)

Job Description:

Role Summary:
Lead and drive the company’s Quality Management System, product quality, and regulatory compliance across forging, machining, and piping operations. Ensure audit readiness, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across all quality functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve QMS in compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
• Lead internal and external audits, including notified bodies for PED compliance, and ensure full audit readiness.
• Define and enforce inspection strategies across forging, heat treatment, machining, and welding processes.
• Ensure compliance with ANSI, DIN, EN, and piping standards and customer specifications.
• Approve and oversee NDT programs (UT, RT, PT, MT, VT) and coordinate with inspection agencies.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and metallurgical integrity of critical forged and piping products.
• Own PED compliance including CE marking, material traceability, and conformity assessments.
• Approve and manage QCPs, ITPs, NCRs, CAPA reports, and manufacturing records.
• Handle major customer complaints and drive effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead and mentor QA/QC team; define KPIs and monitor performance.
• Conduct training programs on ISO systems, PED, and quality standards.
• Audit and approve suppliers; ensure compliance with EN 10204 3.1/3.2 and project requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement using FMEA, Pareto Analysis, Fishbone, and 5 Why; reduce rejection rates and COPQ.
• Lead and confidently handle customer audits, third-party inspections, and technical discussions.

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering
• 5–10 years QA/QC experience in forging, oil & gas, or pressure equipment industry
• Strong expertise in ISO 9001:2015 QMS and PED 2014/68/EU compliance
• Deep understanding of forging, heat treatment, machining, and welding processes
• Strong knowledge of ANSI, DIN, EN, and piping standards
• Hands-on experience with approvals / audits: EIL, IBR, PED, ISO systems
• Experience dealing with notified bodies (TÜV, DNV, BV, etc.)
• Strong leadership, audit handling, and customer interaction skills
• High ownership, process-driven, and quality-focused mindset
